Cocktails inspirés de ma vie quotidienne

I am off, and I am enjoying a quiet, relaxing day.

The Rookie Caesar adapted from the Clamato Website

6 oz Clamato Juice

2 oz beer

2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice

a dash of Worcestershire Sauce

3 ice cubes

I omitted the TabascO Sauce as instructed in the recipe, because the Clamato Juice I bought is already “extra spicy”. I prefer the original Clamato, but it was on sale this week, and the grocery store had none left.

For my Canadian snack, I simply used regular tortillas.

I used a maple leaf cookie cutter to shape them. I was able to fit 4 leaves on each tortilla.

I saved the scraps because they will be tasty in soups or salads once they are fried.

These babies won’t be wasted.

Maple leaves frying with a bit of salt.

What I like the most about making drinks that include beer, is that there is always left over beer.  This is two drinks, instead of one!

Almost too pretty to eat.

Happy Canada Day to all Canadians!
